CDR Technician Level 1 (Day 1)
This is the entry level, basic Technician course designed to expose the new CDR Tool user to the basic functions of the Bosch CDR Tool so that, at a minimum, the user can confidently image data from supported vehicles using the standard OBD II (“DLC”) port and, in some cases, directly from an airbag control module (ACM). This course is not designed to include any hands-on activities or analysis of retrieved data.
CDR Technician Level 2 (Day 2)
This is the hands-on extension or follow up to the CDR Technician I course offering guided instruction in:
- hands on in-vehicle DLC data imaging
- module location and identification and direct-to-module data imaging
- practical booster and adapter applications and
- “back powering” in-vehicle systems to enable DLC data imaging This hands on instruction and then evaluation by a Technician Trainer/Mentor would complete the CDR Technician Level certification and is a prerequisite for the CDR Data Analyst Course.
A CDR kit and activated software are suggested, but not required.
